JOHN HARRIS

FOUNDER, THE RESTORATION HEALTH & WELLNESS

John Harris is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast whose personal journey through sports-related injuries led him to the world of healing and holistic care. After experiencing the transformative power of massage therapy firsthand, John pursued formal training at the Southeastern Institute of Massage in Tennessee, graduating in 2000.

With over two decades of hands-on experience, John has worked with a diverse clientele ranging from professional athletes to older adults, always tailoring his approach to each individual’s unique needs. His passion for understanding human movement and performance inspired him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. He further enhanced his expertise by becoming a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer, allowing him to integrate movement and manual therapy into a cohesive, results-driven practice.

John recently completed graduate studies in acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in North Carolina. This advanced training enriched his understanding of the body as a dynamic, interconnected system. It broadened his ability to address root causes of pain and dysfunction—offering his clients deeper, more sustainable healing.

DAN BERNARDO

LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Dan Bernardo may be a newly licensed massage therapist in South Carolina, but he brings more than 30 years of experience studying human movement, body mechanics, and performance. As a Master Instructor in Tang Soo Do and Taijiquan and the owner of WellWithin Martial Arts, Dan has spent decades helping people move better, reduce pain, and develop healthier, more resilient bodies. Dan believes massage isn’t just about working on sore muscles. It’s about understanding how the body moves, identifying the source of dysfunction, and helping people move and feel better for the long term.
